 Introduction

Baotong Temple is nestled so deeply into the hillside that the tree cover makes it difficult to see from a distance. The architectural style is a fair representative of a classic Chinese Buddhist temple, consisting of a Grand Hall, Meditation Hall and the Abbots Hall. There are also two gargantuan iron bells here, almost 900 years old, dating back to the Southern Song Dynasty.

How to get there

Take bus No.66 from Hankou Railway Station and get off at Hongshan Park Stop. If you take a taxi, it will cost about RMB 10 from the station. The address is 289 Wulu Lu.
