Overview

The Bund Riverside occupies a prime location near the confluence of the Huangpu River and Suzhou Creek, providing easy access to the Bund and Nanjing Dong Lu to the south, the lively streets of Hongkou to the north and the newly landscaped banks of a cleaned-up Suzhou Creek to the west. The immediate surroundings will charm manya taste of an older Shanghai, with small workshops and stores and the bustle of Shanghainese going about there businessthough the noise and grittiness may not appeal to some.

Regardless, it's about five minutes by foot to Nanjing Lu and a few more to the heart of the Bund. People's Square is also within easy walking distance, and the nearby metro (Nanjing Dong Lu) and taxis provide easy access to the rest of the city. Of recent construction, the 18-story four-star rated hotel offers some excellent views. Note that you pay a premium for better views on higher floors and may simply want to take advantage of the penthouse restaurant. The rooms combine contemporary Chinese and Western design to good effect, though some may find the cheaper rooms a bit small.

Very bad hotel. I checked in and out on same day because of the room conditions, room was very small and not really presence to stay in. The air condition was warm and not functioning well even after i highlighted to the front desk. Price are also too expensive for this standard and the room view are poor even what is clasified as "view of the Bund". The room pictures from the hotel website looks very nice, but not in reality. With that price, i recommended Salvo Hotel in Guang Dong Lu.

The people working down in the hotel are very kind. No matter who you met or when you met they were always very polite - saying hello and trying to help you in some way or another. But there are some details did not get attention of hotel.

1. the internet connection port in the wall is far away from desk.

2. towels are so small, and can hardly be used¡. At least 3 kinds of towel should be offered..

I think the hotel price is on high side, RMB758+10% per night. The Room was small and there was no place to sit for watching TV or to have a business discussion.

Breakfast was expensive and the standard lousy. I got there at 9:15am and the staff were already clearing the buffet. Moreover, the cashier started eating her bread while talking to me. Nice.

This is a typical Shanghaiese standard for "4 star" hotel. I don't understand why the toilet is so big but the bathing area is so small? The staff don't greet customers. It is a rather "cold" hotel. I won't stay there again.
