The Sinoway Hotel (Huarong fandian) is in the tallest building in Harbin. The location is great and the place is big and fancy, but it certainly caters to the business conference crowd with huge meeting rooms and a theater. But the rooms are nice and there's internet access in all of them, so it would work for a higher-end (the five star rating is debateable) tourist hold-up. This Haribin hotel's Chinatown Restaurant serves traditional Cantonese food, but the Sinoway's location is perfect for exploring Harbin, so head out for some Russian or Northeastern Chinese cuisine if you have the chance.
